Sunset kayak from Portinatx: wild north coast, caves and a sunset over the Ibiza sea

This sunset kayak from Portinatx departs from Es Portitxol, in the north of Ibiza. The group heads northwest to follow a coastline of breathtaking geological beauty, — rock formations, history-laden sea caves and exceptionally clear waters, framed by the deep green of pine forests running all the way down to the sea.

The route passes beneath Punta de sa Torre, dominated by a fortress that has watched over these waters since the 18th century, before reaching the wide bay of Cala Xarraca and its coastal caves. A stop is planned for swimming or snorkeling, depending on what each person feels like. Throughout the outing, the Moscarter lighthouse, the northernmost point of the island, accompanies the navigation like a silent landmark along this rugged and unspoiled coastline.

At sunset, the group stops out at sea to raise a glass together and mark the moment, a simple and unforgettable ritual, feet in the water and the colours of the sky all around.

A local guide leads the outing from start to finish. All equipment is provided. Children aged 7 and under are welcome free of charge on the central seat of the kayak.
