Mallorca hiking break in Can Estades: agrotourism in Calvià at the gateway to the Tramuntana

Set in the countryside around Calvià, around 20 minutes from Palma and at the foot of the Serra de Tramuntana, Can Estades is a family-run agrotourism property housed in a traditional Mallorcan possessió.

Surrounded by almond and olive trees, the finca retains the character of an old country estate, with its stone walls, peaceful setting and warm welcome.

Its location is one of its greatest advantages. You stay close to Palma while also being perfectly placed for the mountain landscapes of western Mallorca.

Can Estades is therefore an ideal base for alternating between exploring the capital, hiking and independent drives through the Serra de Tramuntana.

Breakfast is included in every package.

Every package includes a stay at Can Estades and a day discovering Palma at your own pace. With 3 nights, you add a guided hike with your Amig@; with 4 nights, your break expands further with a full day exploring the villages and mountain scenery of the Serra de Tramuntana.

2-night package : Palma at Your Own Pace

Two nights in the Calvià countryside and a full day discovering Palma through its sights, flavours and atmosphere.

Stay for 2 nights at Can Estades with breakfast included and enjoy a hire car for 3 days, collected and returned at Palma Airport.

Freedom Experience Palma Through the Senses

Spend a full day in Palma with an itinerary prepared by Evasion Authentic, while keeping the freedom to enjoy every stage at your own pace.

Begin at La Seu, Palma Cathedral, the Gothic masterpiece overlooking the bay.

Three nights combining a day in Palma with an immersive walk through some of Mallorca’s natural landscapes.

Stay for 3 nights at Can Estades with breakfast, enjoy the Palma Through the Senses experience and have a hire car at your disposal for 4 days.

Hiking Package with your Amig@

Set out for around four hours of guided walking with your Amig@, accompanied by a French-speaking Evasion Authentic guide.

The route is selected with you according to your preferences and fitness level. Three levels are available: easy, moderate or challenging.

Depending on the route chosen, you may follow trails through the Serra de Tramuntana, coastal paths or valleys planted with olive trees.

The aim is not simply to hike, but to experience the island differently, away from the roads and closer to its landscapes.

What is included in the price of the break?

The price includes accommodation in a twin room, breakfasts, transfers between Palma Airport and the hotel, as well as the activities included in the package you have chosen. The exact details vary depending on the stay and whether you choose 2, 3 or 4 nights; all of this is set out in the details for each stay.

What is the difference between the 2-, 3- and 4-night packages?

The length of your stay and the number of activities vary depending on the package. The longer you stay, the more comprehensive the programme is and the more aspects of Mallorca you can discover.

2 nights: accommodation + 1 activity
3 nights: accommodation + 2 activities
4 nights: accommodation + 3 activities

The activities on offer depend on the hotel and the region where you are staying.

Are flights to Mallorca included in the price?

No. You are responsible for the cost of flights to Palma de Mallorca, so you are free to choose your departure city, flight times and the airline that suits you best. Once in Palma, the transfers included in your stay will take care of the rest.

Are airport transfers included?

Yes. If car hire is not included in your holiday package, transfers between Palma Airport and your hotel, on both arrival and departure, are included. This means you can start enjoying your break as soon as you arrive, without having to organise your own transport to your accommodation.

Is a hire car included with all stays?

No. El coche de alquiler solo está incluido en los viajes en los que se mencione explícitamente en el programa y en la sección «Qué incluye».

For these holidays, the vehicle is collected on arrival in Mallorca and returned at the end of your stay. A shuttle bus from Palma Airport takes you to the hire company’s offices in Son Oms, about 5 minutes from the airport. The driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least 2 years. Basic insurance is included in the booking.

For holidays without a hire car, Évasion Authentic organises transfers between the airport and the hotel, as well as the necessary pick-ups for the activities included in your package.

In any case, details of the transport included are clearly set out on each holiday description page.

How does the car hire included in the holiday work? (only available on certain holidays)

You will collect your hire car on arrival in Mallorca and return it at the end of your stay. A free shuttle bus from Palma Airport will take you to the hire company’s offices in Son Oms, about 5 minutes from the airport.

The driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid driving licence for at least two years. Basic insurance is included in the booking. Additional ‘Keep Calm Pack’ cover, costing €5 per day, can be added; this is compulsory if paying by debit card.

Children’s equipment can also be added at an extra cost: a baby seat or booster seat for €8 per day.

Please note: for pick-ups between 11.00 pm and 6.00 am, a surcharge of €44 is payable on arrival.

You will be sent all the practical information you need to collect and return your vehicle before you arrive.

Can I choose the dates of my stay freely?

Today we were made to feel very welcome , with the French tour guide Edwidge. She totally embraced translating everything important to us with the greatest kindness and patience. We were picked up on time and went for an adventure for two hours to the most beautiful gardens of Alfabia , as Edwidge  guided us through the path of flowers, nice views, olive orchards and ponds before ending up in a cafe and then guided through the main house and outer buildings. We were then driven further up In the mountains to Fornalutx for a walk around the village prior to lunch, all pre- ordered and well organised by Edwidge. She then drove us down to the train at Soller where she took us to see the Prurana House of Art Nuevo & the Picasso art exhibition at the station. She made sure we all got a train ticket and kindly made sure we could all sit together on the train , while she got off to meet us at the end station. For return to airport on 16th June  You asked why not 5 star, the answer is, on our arrival in palma on the 6th June 2022,  no one was there after days of trying to arrange transport for my disabled scooter, 23kgs Folded, voyage prive said you as a company would not carry scooter in normal transfer and I had to pay for private transfer and bigger car.  We did this and finally found driver with a small Toyota where case had to go on front seat.  This is the reason for 4 stars and I was being generous to our return driver. Also we had to phone twice to check on transfer  we did not get text for pickup time  as stated.
